It is the second of four plants that make up the 120MW Atlântica wind complex owned by Brazilian power company CPFL Renováveis, which got authorisation for the start-up from state regulator Aneel.
The 30MW Atlântica 5 started commercial operation of eight of its 10 turbines earlier this year.
Atlântica 2 started testing in February 2014, while Atlântica 4 has still to start tests.
