Vestas said the appointment of Lazo, formerly chief commercial officer for Areva in France, marks “a key step in Vestas’ increased focus and commitment to the Brazilian wind market”.  

Vestas entered the Brazilian market in 2000, employs 110 there and has installed 626MW in the country, which has emerged as one of the world’s wind-power hotspots.
