NTR unit sells Oklahoma project
NTR plc says its US subsidiary has obtained $60m (€44m) from the sale of the 150MW Osage wind farm project in Oklahoma to developer TradeWind Energy.
NTR will use proceeds of the transaction to further solidify the group’s cash reserves as it pursues further wind opportunities.
Subsidiary Wind Capital Group began construction of Osage last autumn and says commercial operations will start in 2015. It has a long-term commitment for all the future power from Associated Electric, a Missouri-based electric cooperative.
TradeWind Energy is based in Lenexa, Kansas, near Kansas City.
