The towers will be manufactured at the company’s Abilene, Texas plant.
"This order starts to fill the capacity in our Abilene facility into 2014," says chief executive Peter Duprey. “We continue to be pleased with the demand for domestically produced wind towers in the US."
Broadwind has amassed more than $100m in orders in the past six months as the wind industry slowly recovers from its sharpest downturn in a decade.
