Each developer has signed long-term contracts – 20 years for solar and 15 years for wind - with Connecticut Light & Power and United Illuminating, the state’s largest electricity distribution companies.  The contracts require approval by the Connecticut Public Utilities Regulatory Authority.

EDP’s Number Nine Wind Farm will be sited in Aroostook County in northern Maine bordering Canada. The Fusion Solar Center will be located on private land owned largely by Fusion Paperboard in eastern Connecticut.
