The manufacturer will supply 17 of its V112-3.0 MW machines to the Carape 1 wind farm being developed byFingano.

Delivery is due in Q2 2014 and the plant is expected to be commissioned in the following quarter. The deal includes a 17-year service agreement.

Fingano is co-owned by a trio ofdiversified industrial and energy businesses – Corporación America, SanJosé and Contreras. Carape 1 is its first wind venture.

Vestas had already booked orders for 90MW and 42MW in Uruguaythis year and said its turbines accounted for 80% of installations in the country last year.
