The project will consist of 12 turbines supplied by REpower Systems. Commercial operation is scheduled in fall 2014.
Located in the administrative region of Bas-St-Laurent, La Mitis is one of two community wind projects awarded by Hydro-Québec Distribution to EDF EN in December 2010 as a result of the public utility’s call for tenders the previous year.
EDF EN owns 70% of the project with Energie renouvelable de la Mitis holding the balance.
