MidAmerican said following a tender process, the German group was selected to supply turbines from its 2.3MW G2 platform for all five projects that will make up the new capacity – a total of 448 turbines.
Siemens was always seen as the prime contender for the supply deals, as it has delivered turbines to previous MidAmerican projects and has factories in the region.
