Acciona Windpower will supply 100 of its AW 116/3000 3MW machines to two projects for an unnamed customer in Texas, its biggest US order for that turbine size.
The deal, which also includes a 10-year service agreement, was referred to earlier today in a conference call between financial analysts and company officials on the group's nine-month results
The new US contract is worth more than $400m, Acciona said in a subsequent statement.
