Stiesdal, who stepped down from his role as chief technology officer at Siemens Wind last year to spend more time with his family, has also found time to focus on personal projects. He believes the low-weight, modular-concept industrialised floating foundation will halve the capital cost of the current floater models now being trialled in different offshore sites around the world.
