On 7 October 2015, the California legislature passed SB-350, otherwise known as the Clean Energy and Pollution Reduction Act, which requires 50% of the state’s generation to come from renewable energy by 2030. The abundant offshore wind resource off the Pacific coast is now poised to become a significant contributor towards California’s aggressive commitment to carbon reduction.
