Goldwind – which was rated by some analysts as global turbine market-leader in 2015 – posted a net profit of 370.5m yuan ($57.2m) for the January-March period, a 48.9% uplift on the first three months of last year.

The company increased quarterly sales by 56% to 3.99bn yuan, it told investors on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Goldwind forecast a year-on-year net profits increase of up to 50% for the first half of the year ending June.
