The Danish utility yesterday erected the first of 77foundations in the project 37km north of the island of Borkum.
The installation vessel Pacific Orca before has shipped an initial four foundations and transition pieces to the construction site.
“There were best conditions to start installation works. Aquiet sea and little wind are ideal for that,” says Andreas Elkjaer, projectmanager foundations at Borkum Riffgrund 1.
