Dong names Andersen as chairman
Dong Energy has named Thomas Thune Andersen as its next chairman.
Andersen takes over as chairman of the world’s biggest offshore wind owner from long-serving predecessor Fritz Schur.
The incoming Dong chairman is an existing board member of UK utility SSE – a role he has to relinquish due to the links between the two companies in the wind sector.
The process of stepping down from SSE means Andersen will be formally elected chairman at a Dong EGM “at the earliest possible date” after 17 July.
Dong is proposing to install Benny Loft as interim chairman to manage the transition.
Andersen is also chairman of Lloyd's Register Group and deputy chairman of VKR Holding.
