NorSea adds Danbor for wind boost

Norway’s NorSea Group has acquired Danish O&M and logistics company Danbor from Mærsk Oil, as part of plans to boost its presence in the wind market.

Danbor, established in the wind sector for 40 years, has contracts covering offshore and onshore, said NorSea.

Esbjerg – where Danbor is based – is “a focal point of the European wind turbine industry”, it added.

The acquisition will give NorSea a significant presence in Denmark as well as enhancing its presence in the UK, said a statement.
