BayWa snaps up HS Kraft

BayWa Renewable Energy, the renewables arm of German trading company BayWa, has bought 76% of the Swedish project developer HS Kraft.

Malmö-based HS Kraft is a specialist in the planning, development, construction and operation of wind energy plants in Scandinavia.

“The purchase of a majority stake in HS Kraft for BayWa means the exploring of further potential in the European renewables market,” says BayWa chief executive Matthias Taft.

“We are happy to have taken a further important step towards the internationalisation of our project development business.”
