Suzlon wins 101MW India deal

Indian wind turbine group Suzlon has won a 101MW order from compatriot developer ReNew Wind Power.

The 48 S97-120 turbines will be deployed at a wind farm at Bhesada in Rajasthan. Suzlon will also manage O&M at the plant.

Suzlon said the order is the first for its new 120-metre tower and its lattice-and-tubular structure – claimed to be the tallest in the Indian market.

The order sees ReNew Wind return to Suzlon for the third time, after deploying more than 100MW of the group’s turbines at its plants in Gujarat and Maharashtra.

ReNew Wind is majority-owned by US investment giant Goldman Sachs. It has more than 450MW installed across several Indian states.
