The Portuguese renewables giant will apply the performance-boosting upgrades to “hundreds of turbines” in its US fleet, said Vestas.
Chris Brown, president of sales and service for Vestas in the US, said: “Signing our first order for Vestas PowerPlus solutions so quickly after the official launch demonstrates that there is strong customer demand for this product.”
The upgrade suite was officially launched at May’s AWEA Windpower 2014 event.
