Wikinger – which Iberdrola said will only proceed to construction once sufficient grid capacity is available – will use a foundation from the shipyard in Cadiz in a deal worth about €70m ($95m).
Wikinger – originally designed at 400MW but since reduced to 350MW – is due to use Areva 5MW turbines at its site in the Baltic Sea.
