The locally-based engineer will carry out work including preparation for the 340MW project’s onshore substation, and installing infrastructure for basic utilities.
The work is due to be completed in early 2015.
The Galloper project team is pressing on with the work needed to keep the wind farm on track while the project’s future ownership is sorted out.
Galloper is a 50/50 joint venture between RWE and SSE – but the latter has said it will seek an exit from the project after scaling back its ambitions in the offshore wind sector.
