The upgrade, which will be bolted into ten WinWind WWD3 machines as part of a larger service project at the 30MW development, is expected to prolong operation of the main transmission system components "until the end of the turbine lifetime".
The new system is built around extra pumps for the main bearings, adding temperature sensors, changing the coolers and an updated lubrication management logic.
