The project will use 48 of Suzlon’s latest S97- 2.1 MW turbines, the producer said.

A date for the plant to enter service is not given by Suzlon.

CLP India – which will have close to 1GW of wind in place with the addition of the project – said it plans further growth in the country.

Rajiv Mishra, managing director of CLP India, said: “Wind has been a key area of thrust for us over the past four to five years, with a sustained growth of about 200MW to 300MW every year, and we are committed to growing it over the next few years as well.”
