FERC’s monthly Energy Infrastructure Update shows that wind led new build and expansions with 203MW, followed by solar 156MW and gas 49MW. The balance was biomass and small hydro.

In January through May, the US installed 3.13GW of power generation capacity, down from 7.58GW in the same 2013 period.

Gas led all energy source installations through May with 1.43GW, about one-third 4.39GW
