According to Cerne renewable energy think tank, installed capacity is now 1.009GW among 44 wind farms.
Entering commercial operation this week were 18.9MW Colonia, 23.1MW Taiba Aguia and 14.7MW Taiba Andorinha wind farms. All are controlled by renewable power company Queiroz Galvao Energias Renovaveis.
Ceara is now the second largest wind province after Rio Grande do Norte, which has 1.3GW installed capacity with 49 wind farms in operation, according to Cerne.
