The Spanish manufacturer signed a letter of intent for an extra 39 turbines for developments at the Itarema wind complex awarded in Brazil’s most recent A-3 national tender.
That adds to 90MW it won for Itarema in the Brazilian tender held in November 2013.
Under that deal, Acciona will deliver 30 of its 3MW turbines to the complex that Rio Energy is developing in the state of Ceara.
