The contract is with Uruguayan firm Astidey for the construction of the Talas de Maciel I wind farm in the department of Flores and includes a 20-year operation and maintenance agreement.
The 25 G97-2.0 MW turbines will be delivered over the course of 2014, and the project is expected to be completed by mid 2015. Finance for the project is sponsored by the US Export-Import (Ex-Im) bank.
