The £1.5bn ($2.57bn) project should hit full production in late 2017, the duo said. It will be equipped with 67 6MW wind turbines from German manufacturer Siemens, and will supply up to 410,000 UK homes.

Dudgeon – a UK Round 2 project that was originally consented at 560MW – is a return to offshore wind development by Statoil and Statkraft after they collaborated on the nearby Sheringham Shoal project.

A
