GE gets 94MW SSE Scotland nod

Dunmaglass will use 33 GE 2.85-100 wind turbines, the US manufacturer said today.

The turbines will use specially-designed towers to keep them in line with the 120-metre tip-height conditions laid down for the project.

The wind farm, near Inverness, was acquired by SSE from RES in 2013.

This is GE’s second deal with the utility this year, following a deal to supply 16MW to another project in Scotland.
