Siemens gets 36MW German order
German producer Siemens has won a 36MW domestic order to supply turbines to the Süderlügum wind project in Nordfriesland.
Siemens will deliver 12 of its 3MW direct-drive machines to the onshore plant, with installation scheduled for late this year.
Süderlügum, a publicly-owned project, has also signed up for a 20-year service agreement with Siemens.
Reinhard Christiansen, who is managing the project, said: "Süderlügum is an important project for the local population that will make a collective contribution to the energy turnaround.
“As with our other two wind farms, Süderlügum will also supply clean electricity that is funded entirely by the public."
