The facility utilizes 166 Vestas V100-1.8MW wind turbines and is the Danish vendor’s largest supply contract in Canada. Blackspring will provide electricity to about 140,000 homes in the province.
EDF EN Canada was developer of the project, which entered commercial operation in May. EDF says it was built ahead of schedule and on budget.
