Nordex inks 64.2MW Turkey orders
German wind turbine manufacturer Nordex has received three contracts in Turkey for the installation of its N117/2400 and N117/3000 machines with a combined capacity of 64.2MW.
The company will supply seven of the N117/3000 turbines to Turkish telecoms and infrastructure company Erdem Holding for the Odemis wind farm south-east of Izmir at the Aegean coast.
Rotor blades, towers and anchor cages for that project will be produced in Turkey, which will enable Erdem to claim a higher feed-in tariff.
The order includes a five-year service contract.
Nordex also inked an order from Edincik Enerji to expand its Edincik wind farm at the Marmara Sea from 30MW to 56.4MW with 11 of Nordex’s N117/2400 turbines designed for light wind sites.
The order with Edincik includes a six-year service agreement.
The German turbine maker also signed a third contract in Turkey, with Bursa Temiz Enerji, for an extension of the 25MW Bandirma III wind farm to 41.8MW with seven Nordex N117/2400 machines.
The wind farm also is located in the Marmara region.
