The new wind farms are the 30MW Coxilha Seca, the 10MW Capao do Ingles and the 8MW Galpoes. They are due to begin commercial operation in 2016.

Eletrosul will invest R$270m ($118m) with 80% of that amount to be financed by Germany's national development bank KfW. Gamesa will supply G114-2.0MW turbines.

Cerro Chato began operation in 2011 with 90MW generating capacity. In 2012, another 78MW was commissioned, with 30MW now in operation.
