Recharge to bring together Brazil wind power leaders
Recharge is set to bring together leading officials from the fast-growing Brazilian wind power industry at a lunch in Rio de Janeiro on 26 August.
Invited guests at the Rio Thought Leaders Lunch, which is being organised by Recharge and GWEC as part of the Brazil Windpower 2014 Conference, will hear from leading developers and turbine manufacturers, as well as industry bodies and key government institutions.
Speakers will include GWEC general secretary Steve Sawyer, ABEEolica executive director Elbia Melo - both members of Recharge’s Thought Leaders Club - Vestas Brazil president Ruben Lazo, Iberdrola Renovables market director Juan Rivier, Renova CEO Mathias Becker, and BNDES head of alternative energy Antonio Tovar.
Some of the themes to discuss will be; the challenges associated with the current rapid build-out of Brazilian wind power; coming auctions and the evolution of the power demand panorama in Brazil; the competitive situation in the wind turbine manufacturing industry; and the impact of the latest BNDES local-content requirements.
The lunch will take place in the beautiful setting of the Santa Teresa Hotel, Rio de Janeiro.
