The Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) secretary-general — speaking in Beijing this week to release GWEC’s Global Wind Energy Outlook 2014 — reiterated the organisation's forecast from earlier this year of approximately 47GW of new installations in 2014.
“We might actually get to a little more than 47GW, “ Sawyer says. “There’s a lot of pressure to finish projects by the end of the year, but we don’t know precisely where each of the individual markets are going to shape out.”
