Wind was the second largest source of new generation capacity through November behind natural gas with 5.513GW. Solar was third with 2.203GW. Total installations were 10.926GW versus 13.349GW during the first 11 months of 2013.

In November, new wind capacity was 333MW, or 38.1% of 873MW of new capacity installed during the month, while solar was 294MW and natural gas 140MW, according to FERC’s November Energy Infrastructure Update.
