The vehicle, called Lekela Power, will be formed around 360MW of MRP-developed South African wind power that reached financial close last week.
Its pipeline will include the 225MW Ayitepa wind project in Ghana, further wind and solar projects in South Africa, and 100MW in Egypt.
Lekela will be funded through a mix of equity and debt, with MRP responsible for delivering the projects through to operation.
