The long-awaited decision enables the 705-mile (1,134km) line to go forward. It would link abundant wind resources in the Oklahoma and Texas panhandle regions with the mid-South and Southeast US via Arkansas and a connection at Memphis, Tennessee.
It would supply power to more than 1 million homes.
