It is the first deal between GE and Arise, which has expressed its ambition to erect some 300 turbines in the next five years.
“Sweden is one of the most promising markets in Europe for wind-energy development,” says Jeff Immelt, chief executive of GE.
The first five ‘2.5xl’ turbines to be supplied under the deal be installed at the ‘Brunsmo’ wind farm near the Swedish town of Karlskrona.
