Siemens says the order represents “an investment volume in the triple-digit million range.”
EnBW Baltic 2, previously known as Kriegers Flak, will be located around 32 kilometres north of the island of Rügen in the western Baltic and cover an area of approximately 27 square-kilometres.
The first offshore work on the project is scheduled to begin in 2012 and the wind farm is set to come on line in 2013.
