Financial terms were not released by MidAmerican Renewables, a unit of MidAmerican Holdings Company, whose utilities provide electric and natural gas service to more than 6.9 million customers worldwide.
The project will utilize 50 General Electric wind turbines with scheduled fourth quarter commercial operation.
Ameren Illinois, a utility based in Peoria, will purchase power from the project under a 20-year agreement.
