The deal covers the 168MW Ironwood and 131MW Cimarron 2 projects. It is expected to close later this month. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Plans call for Duke’s renewable energy unit and Sumitomo to complete construction of both projects by the end of this year. Duke will operate and maintain both wind farms, while Sumitomo will remain actively involved in management of the projects.
