The money includes £5m to re-fit the cable-laying barge ATM Discoverer, with mobilisation work being done in Port Glasgow.

The subsea construction firm is spending another £5m on a cable-carrying carousel that can reel 5,500 tonnes of cable onto the barge before it sets off to bury them under the seabed.
