Several locations off Scotland, including one off the Isle of Lewis, are being looked at, with spots off Norway and “other countries being considered in parallel” for the demonstration project.
“The deployment of such a demo park will be far off coast, and the windmills will hardly be visible,” says Statoil spokesman Jannik Lindbaek.
“We would make sure to have a have a good dialogue with all relevant stakeholders during the process, when the location has been selected.”
