Norway’s largest oil company and largest power utility announced they were co-owners of the 315-megawatt (MW) wind farm on 1 April, with Statkraft buying 50% of StatoilHydro’s share.

In addition to providing the 88 turbines, rated at 3.6MW each, Siemens also won a five-year service contract at the wind farm.

Siemens says the combined capacity of its wind turbines worldwide is more than 600MW, and it has an order backlog of 3,300MW.
