The deal, which replaces one signed in 2008, also includes closer ties in maintenance services, with a goal of making Gamesa the lead supplier in this area.
To that end, Iberdrola has awarded Gamesa a contract to maintain1.75GW of 650kW and 850kW turbines in Spain and Portugal, and extends by one year a maintenance arrangement on 2.3GW of 2MW machines.
