The Danish wind group claims the deployment of the offshore-specific V112 marks a big step forwards for its offshore ambitions.
The turbines were also part of the first shipment of turbines from Vestas’ pre-assembly facility in Esbjerg, Denmark
The company will send significant shipments of the V112-3.0 MW on their way from Esbjerg this year and in 2014.
Vestas will deliver the turbines to the UK’s 219MW Humber Gateway project and the 216MW Northwind offshore plant in Belgium.
