Alstom will deliver 3MW machines from its ECO 100 range to the Sureste 1 Stage 2 wind farm in the Tehuantepec Isthmus, Oaxaca.
Italian renewables giant Enel Green Power is developing the project under the Mexican government’s “external energy producer” scheme, Alstom said.
The plant is due to be fully operational by the end of 2014, added the turbine-maker.
Alstom told Recharge in May that it expected to make a breakthrough in Mexico soon.
