MRP has been successful with three wind farms, according to a statementfrom the developer, which led a consortium bidding in the third round.
They are: The 140MW Khobab Wind Farm, the 140MW Loeriesfontein 2 project andthe 80MW Noupoort development, all in the Northern Cape.
MRP said the three wind farms add up to a total investment of about 9bn rand($912m), are expected to reach financial close next year and start construction“shortly thereafter”.
