News of the order came as Dong Energy announced it had made its final investment decision (FID) for the 330MW Gode Wind 1 project and the 252MW Gode Wind 2 wind farm.
Dong in September told Recharge that it was still on course to use Siemens machines for the two projects around 45km from the German North Sea coast, following an agreement between the two in April that was conditional on the FID.
