Acciona will provide construction services and operate the South Canoe wind farm – as well as supplying 34 of its AW3000/116 turbines.
South Canoe will be the largest wind farm in Nova Scotia when it is complete, powering 32,000 homes.
It is being developed by local utility Nova Scotia Power in conjunction with partners Oxford Frozen Foods and Minas Basin Pulp.
Acciona did not give a timeline for the project, which will be the sixth to use its turbines in Canada.
